This unique wooden hammock from FabsFurniture designs is completely made of high quality chestnut wood and super comfortable.
Because the slats run freely over the rope, the shape adapts to the user! unlike traditional hammocks, this hammock does not close and you can therefore lie in it for a long time.
It is also super stable, it is almost impossible to fall out of the hammock! by clever use of our ropes.
All pieces of the hammock are cut and selected with the right grain direction and strength, to avoid structural failure, it is possible to see pieces with imperfections however they added character without taking out structural strength, due to years of working with wood, we can handpick which piece will warp, how and will it hold.
Chestnut gets most of its natural resistance from the naturally occurring tannins in the wood, they make the wood resistant to bugs, rot and bacteria, it is also what gives red wine its distinctive taste.
They wash out when you leave the hammock out in the rain and extended time under the sun’s UV rays, and get a weathered wood look, but keep its natural shape and strength, which is the reason to choose chestnut over other types of wood.
To keep the wood’s fresh and new shine, you can reapply oil finish, you can’t really over oil it as most of it gets absorbed, but as a natural breathing material water and heat will dry out the wood.
To keep the hammock pristine, prevent extended exposure to UV and rain, either by covering it with a tarp or under a patio/tree, you can always bring out the new finish by sanding the slats back to new wood and apply oil.
Ropes have stretch, and over time will become longer, no problem, this doesn’t make the rope weaker but you can put a loop like in our photos (which also stabilizes the hammock more) or a new knot in the rope.
Absolutely! The knot we used to tie up the hammock is super strong but easy to take out in case you would want to take slats out or add others in, so the rope and slats can easily be exchanged, or replaced.

Domestic Shipping Policy
Shipment processing time
All orders are processed within 2-7 business days. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.
If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

Shipment confirmation & Order tracking

In order to be eligible for a refund, you have to return the product within 14 calendar days of your purchase. The product must be in the same condition that you receive it and undamaged in any way. After we receive your item, our team of professionals will inspect it and process your refund.
The money will be refunded to the original payment method you’ve used during the purchase. If the product is damaged in any way, or you have initiated the return after 14 calendar days have passed, you will not be eligible for a refund.
